It combines both mechanical and biological filtration using Evolution Aqua’s advanced K+ Media and features an integrated 18 W ultraviolet clarifier to help eradicate green water, giving you a clearer and more balanced pond environment. Unlike traditional filters that rely on sponges or foams, the Surge Filter uses patented Air Clean Technology to make cleaning simple and dry — there are no dirty sponges to handle, and maintenance is quick and straightforward. ()

As pond water is pumped up through the filter chamber, the K+ Media forms a mechanical barrier that traps debris. Waste particles remain captured in the media until they are dislodged and flushed away during the Air Clean cleaning process, which mixes air and water to agitate and clean the media effectively. ()

The built‑in 18 W UV clarifier helps to control green water by exposing algae cells to ultraviolet light as water passes through, aiding in clearer water results. ()
